Samantha Barnett Women's Basketball Irvine Valley's athlete of the week for Jan. 20 is freshman women's basketball player Samantha Barnett. She helped lead the Lasers to a 65-48 win over Riverside in an Orange Empire Conference game last Wednesday. Barnett scored 14 points, had six rebounds, three assists and three steals in the victory.
