Irvine Valley star women's volleyball player Natalia Brandlin has signed with NCAA Division I Cal State Northridge for both indoor volleyball and beach.
She was impressive for both squads with the Lasers and earned tons of honors, incuding all-Orange Empire Conference and all-3C2A State. Brandlin also won the OEC pairs title with freshman teammate Audrey Fowler this past spring.
The Irvine Valley women's volleyball team earned a share of the Orange Empire Conference title and made the 3C2A State Championship tournament in the fall of 2023.
Brandlin helped Irvine Valley to a record of 22-5 overall and 13-3 in conference play.
Irvine Valley claimed its second consecutive OEC Championship and fifth in six years with head coach Anna Unke leading the way in her first season at the helm for the Lasers.
Brandlin played a big role.
The middle blocker was named first team all-OEC and all-state.
Brandlin ranked first in the conference in hitting percentage at .406 and first in blocks per set at 1.20. She also finished second in the state in hitting percentage and fourth in blocks per set.
She averaged 2.31 kills per set for the Lasers.
She won two team titles with IVC during the 2023-24 season - indoor and beach - and captured another in pairs with beach.
Brandlin competed with Orange Coast College for indoor and beach during the 2022-23 season.
She earned first team all-conference honors and was named freshman of the year.
The former Edison High player that earned all-league honors, is headed to a Cal State Northridge team that has hired a new indoor coach in Aquiles Montoya.
