Irvine Valley's women's volleyball team goes after its sixth straight win Wednesday night when it hosts Saddleback at 6 p.m.

Irvine Valley has won five straight matches and moved up a spot in the state rankings to ninth earlier this week.
The Lasers have a record of 9-3 overall and leads the OEC standings with a perfect mark of 5-0
The Lasers had a big five-set win over Cypress at home last Wednesday and then swept at Santa Ana, 25-14, 25-16, 25-17 on Friday behind 16 kills each from sophomore opposite hitter Jayli Nealy and freshman outside hitter Tessa Marocco.
IVC hit .385 as a team on the night, including .452 in the opening set.
On the year, Nealy is averaging 4.07 kills per set, which ranks 14th in the state, Marocco is averaging 3.82 kills and 2.36 digs per set, sophomore libero Gabi Brown is averaging 3.69 digs and sophomore setter Maddie Harkey is averaging 6.73 assists per set for IVC.
Saddleback has a record of 9-2 overall and a 2-2 mark in the OEC. The Bobcats are tied for fourth in the standings.
Saddleback lost at Santa Ana in three sets last Wednesday, but responded with a 25-12, 25-11, 25-14 on Friday at home.
Sydney Brown led the team with 12 kills and six digs.
Brown paces Saddleback with 148 total kills and is ranked ninth in the state in kills per set.
Logan Daniels finished with 27 assists and 11 digs Friday. She is currently 12th in the state in assists per set at 8.42.
Jolie Robinson contributed nine kills, nine digs and two blocks for Saddleback.
Irvine Valley is off from match play on Friday and returns against Fullerton next Wednesday at home at 6 p.m.
