The 2024 Irvine Valley women's volleyball schedule has been released.
Irvine Valley finished the 2023 season with a record of 22-5 overall and 13-3 in the Orange Empire Conference to tie for a conference title.
IVC made the So. Cal. Regional Playoffs, won a regional in five sets over rival Orange Coast and moved on to the 3C2A State Championship where it swept Delta in the quarterfinals before falling to Feather River in the semis.
Head coach and former Irvine Valley standout Anna Unke has moved on to become the director of volleyball and women's coach at local Crean Lutheran High in Irvine.
The Lasers are turning to another former Laser to take charge of the program. Alissa Blevins, who played beach and indoor at IVC and is a top club coach, will be taking over.

Irvine Valley will unofficially open the fall 2024 season with a scrimmage tournament at Cerritos on Aug. 16 and then play in a scirmmage match at Pasadena City on Aug. 20.
The Lasers officially start the year on Friday, Aug. 23 at Moorpark at 1 p.m.
IVC then plays its first home match on Aug. 28 against Canyons at 5 p.m.
The Lasers will also compete in the San Diego Mesa Tri event on Aug. 30 and will also take on Santa Barbara City, MiraCosta and Pasadena before starting conference play against Riverside at home on Friday Sept. 20 against Riverside at 6 p.m.
