Former Irvine Valley men's volleyball player Grant Dvorak had a solid season for the NCAA Division I Vanguard Lions.
The Blue and Gold had a record of 8-18 overall and made the tournament in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation.
Dvorak, a 6-6 opposite, played in 67 sets and finished with 178 kills.
He also had 22 assists, 15 aces, 80 digs and 20 blocks on the year.
Dvorak recorded 20 kills in two difference matches for the Lions this past season.
He played in 21 matches and started 18 contests for the Lions.
Dvorak was named first team all-Orange Empire Conference for the Lasers in 2024.
He was one of five IVC players picked to all-conference teams.
IVC ended with a record of 11-8 overall and 5-3 for second place in the Orange Empire Conference and made the playoffs in 2024.
Dvorak, out of Corona Del Mar High, averaged 2.03 kills, 5.29 assists and 1.03 digs per set.
He also hit an impressive .353 overall, which ranked second in the state.
He will be going into his junior year at Vanguard this fall.
