The Irvine Valley's men's volleyball team snapped a two-match skid with a four-set win over Santiago Canyon on Wednesday night on the road.
IVC's record went to 10-5 overall and 4-3 in divisional play, while Santiago Canyon fell to 0-15 overall.
The Lasers hit a solid .322 as a team on the night and received several solid performances all around.
As well, Irvine Valley hit .577 in the first frame to set the tone and then closed things out with another .577 hitting percentage in the fourth and final set.
Four players had at least nine kills in the match for IVC.
Freshman opposite Travis Kaufman had 12 kills, hit .688 (12-1-16) and added four digs and three aces.
Freshman outside hitter Lucas Vo had probably his best match of the season with 11 kills and a .444 hitting percentage.
IVC freshman outside hitter Spencer York contributed 10 kills and freshman outside hitter Jonathan Guerrero ended with nine kills and hit .412.
Irvine Valley freshman setter Anthony Diosdado ran the offense with 30 assists and added eight digs and three aces, and another freshman setter, Ian Nelson, came in with 18 digs and five digs.
Freshman libero Cage Gonzalez finished with a team-high 14 digs.
Irvine Valley plays again on Friday, hosting Palomar in a divisional match at 6 p.m.
