The Irvine Valley 2024 men's volleyball team was recently honored with a special award from the 3C2A state organization.
Irvine Valley's squad was named a Scholar Team Recipient.
This is IVC's fifth Scholar Team award, adding to previous winners: Men's Soccer in 2021, Beach Volleyball in 2019 and 2015, and Men's Volleyball in 2014.
Under the leadership of Head Coach Rory Jones, the men's volleyball team has cultivated a new academic culture, setting high expectations, which contributed to their recognition.
Notably, all 10 student-athletes have successfully transferred and moved on to pursue their educational goals.
The team's achievements will be celebrated at the 3C2A Scholar-Athlete Luncheon on Mar. 26, during the 2025 32CA Convention in Sacramento.
Irvine Valley also had three players continue their playing careers at four-year schools with Jeremy Simon playing at Arizona Christian, Zach McEentire heading to Concordia and Grant Dvovorak at Vanguard University.
Congratulations to the team for earning this prestigious award.
Even more details soon about the honor.
