Irvine Valley's women's volleyball team looks to bounce back after suffering a four-set loss on Wednesday in an Orange Empire Conference match at Orange Coast.
The defeat took IVC's record to 17-4 overall and 11-3 in conference. Irvine Valley is ranked 10th in the state.
The Lasers sit just behind Saddleback for first place in the OEC.
Irvine Valley lost at Orange Coast on Wednesday, 25-21, 25-17, 23-25, 25-14.
Sophomore middle blocker Natalia Brandlin and sophomore outside hitter Tessa Marocco each finished with 11 kills. Marocco also had 25 digs.
IVC sophomore setter Mia Bertolone ended with 36 assists and 16 digs in the match.
And Laser libero Audrey Fowler had 15 digs.
Marocco ranks fourth in the conference in kills at 3.66 per set, Brandlin is first in the OEC at blocks per set at 1.21 and first in hitting percentage at .423, Bertolone ranks first in assists at 11.15 per set and Fowler is first in the conference in digs at 4.51 per set.
IVC finishes the regular season with a home game next Tuesday against Riverside at 6 p.m.
Santiago Canyon has a record of 1-15 overall and is 1-13 in the OEC.
The Hawks were swept by Santa Ana, 25-18, 25-8, 25-23, last Friday.
Chelsea Riedel had 11 kills to lead Santiago Canyon. Sophie Ziglinski added seven kills and Makena Bugarin ended with 21 assists for the Hawks.
