Irvine Valley's women's volleyball team captured its fourth win in a row, sweeping Fullerton, 25-14, 25-6, 25-8, in an Orange Empire Conference match at home Wednesday night.
It was IVC's easiest victory of the year with IVC giving up only 28 points. IVC swept Santa Ana and allowed 36 points on Sept. 22.
The win improved Irvine Valley's record to 10-2 overall and 4-1 in conference.
Eight different Laser players recorded a kill, including sophomore outside hitter Tessa Marocco with 12 to pace the squad.
Sophomore outside hitter Ava Guenther finished with nine kills and freshman outside hitter Tatum Pongs and sophomore middle blocker Avery Bennett ended with four kills each.
The Lasers also hit .342 as a team on the night. Bennett hit .500, Guenther hit .467 and Marocco hit .409.
Sophomore setter Mia Bertolone ran the offense with 33 assists and also added nine digs. Bennett also finished with five blocks for IVC.
The Lasers, ranked No. 7 in the state, are back at home for a big match on Friday night, hosting No. 13 Orange Coast at 6 p.m.
