  • Irvine Valley has its season end in playoffs at Orange Coast
    April 19, 2025
    Irvine Valley, seeded No. 7 in the state playoffs, battles, but goes down at No. 2 Orange Coast in five sets (18-16 in the fifth) on Friday. The Lasers finish their season with a record of 15-8 overall. Spencer York leads IVC with 17 kills.
  • Men's volleyball team is seeded seventh in the state playoffs

    Irvine Valley's men's volleyball team was selected as the seventh seed in the 3C2A State Championship Payoffs. The Lasers will travel to No. 2 and rival Orange Coast on Friday at 6 p.m. IVC has a record of 15-7 overall on the season.
  • Volleyball team celebrates sophomores and sweeps the Hawks
    April 11, 2025
    Irvine Valley plays its final match of the regular season and sweeps Santiago Canyon, 25-17, 25-14, 25-23 Friday at home. The Lasers now look forward to the playoff pairings. IVC honored six sophomore players before the match.
  • Men's volleyball team battles, falls to No. 1 Orange Coast

    Irvine Valley, ranked sixth in the state, drops the first two sets to No. 1 Orange Coast, but wins two in a row before dropping the fifth set and the match to the Pirates. Orange Coast comes out on top, 25-22, 25-21, 22-25, 18-25, 15-7.
  • Men's volleyball team drops four-set OEC match at GWC
    April 04, 2025
    Irvine Valley goes on the road against one of the best teams in the state and falls, 25-20, 25-23, 18-25, 25-17, at Golden West Friday. The Lasers end the regular season next week, playing Orange Coast and Santiago Canyon.
  • Volleyball team wins fifth straight, takes down Grossmont
    April 02, 2025
    Irvine Valley goes on the road Wednesday and beats Grossmont, 25-17, 18-25, 25-15, 25-18. IVC moves to 14-5 overall and 8-3 in south divisional play. It now has one of its biggest matches of the season Friday at Golden West.
  • Men's volleyball team takes fourth in row, and on a roll
    March 28, 2025
    Irvine Valley defeats Miramar, 27-25, 25-14, 25-21 in a division match Friday night at home. The Lasers are on a roll, having won four-straight matches and improving their record to 13-5 overall and 7-3 in the south division.
  • Men's volleyball team upsets No. 2 San Diego Mesa on the road
    March 26, 2025
    Irvine Valley goes on the road and defeats San Diego Mesa in five sets Wednesday, including taking the final two frames. IVC comes out on top, 22-25, 26-24, 23-25, 25-19, 20-18, to move into a tie with Mesa in the division at 6-3.
  • Volleyball team makes it two in a row, sweeps Palomar
    March 21, 2025
    Irvine Valley, ranked No. 6 in the state, moves to 11-5 overall and 5-3 in divisional play with a 25-21, 25-21, 25-23 victory over Palomar Friday night at home. The Lasers have a big match at No. 2 San Diego Mesa next Wednesday.
  • Men's volleyball team gets back on track with win at Hawks

    Irvine Valley goes on the road and snaps a two-match skid Wednesday night with a 25-11, 25-23, 23-25, 25-18 win at Santiago Canyon. The Lasers stayed in the mix for a top-six seed in the playoffs and moved to 10-5 overall.
  • Men's volleyball team is at No. 6 in latest state coaches poll

    With a record of 9-3, Irvine Valley comes in at No. 6 in the latest California Community College Men's Volleyball Association State Poll. The Lasers have two big matches this week vs. No. 3 Golden West and No. 1 Orange Coast.

    Irvine Valley starts slow, but finishes strong in a 28-26, 25-21, 25-15 conference win over Grossmont Friday at home. IVC captured both of its matches this week and moved to 9-3 overall. It hosts Golden West next Wednesday.

    Irvine Valley, ranked No. 6 in the state, defeats No. 7 Miramar, 25-23, 22-25, 25-17, 25-19, on the road in a conference match Wednesday night. IVC moves its record to 8-3 overall. The Lasers next host Grossmont Friday at 6 p.m.
  • Men's volleyball team runs into solid San Diego Mesa squad
    February 28, 2025
    Irvine Valley, ranked No. 6 in the state, falls in straight sets at home, 25-21, 25-22, 25-21, by No. 2 San Diego Mesa Friday. Mesa hit .404 as a team, led by Trevor Clark with 30 kills. IVC's record went to 7-3 overall on the year.
  • Men's volleyball team responds with sweep at Palomar
    February 26, 2025
    Irvine Valley goes on the road and sweeps Palomar, 25-20, 25-14, 25-20 on Wednesday. The Lasers get big performances from Tucker McClain with 10 kills and Travis Kaufman with eight kills. Byrce Nohava ends with 28 assists.

    February 21, 2025
    Irvine Valley, ranked fifth in the state, gets swept at Long Beach City Friday, 25-23, 25-17, 25-19. IVC's record goes to 6-2 overall. The Lasers are led by Spencer York with 10 kills and Bryce Nohava with 21 assists.

    February 19, 2025
    Irvine Valley, No. 5 in the state, starts fast and sweeps Santa Monica, 25-17, 25-18, 25-21, on Wednesday afternoon at home. With the win, the Lasers improve their record to 6-1 overall. They are at Long Beach City on Friday.
  • Men's volleyball team is back on track and sweeps El Camino

    Irvine Valley improves the record to 5-1 overall with its second sweep in a row and fourth on the year with a 25-21, 25-23, 25-19 win Friday night at El Camino. IVC plays again on Wednesday at home vs. Santa Monica at 1 p.m.
  • 2024 men's volleyball squad named a 3C2A state scholar team

    Irvine Valley's men's volleyball team has been selected as a 3C2A Scholar Athlete Team for the 2024 year. The Lasers were one of the top teams on the court as well and will be presented the award in March at the state event.

    Irvine Valley holds on to take down a tough Santa Barbara team in four sets, 25-18, 26-24, 19-25, 30-28, on Wednesday afternoon at home. The Lasers, one of the top teams in the state, stayed unbeaten at 3-0 overall.

    Irvine Valley, off to a 3-0 start to the 2025 season, is ranked No. 4 in the first California Community College Men's Volleyball Coaches Association Poll of the year. The Lasers have a big match at No. 6 Moorpark on Friday night.
  • Men's volleyball team makes it two in a row with win at AVC
    February 01, 2025
    Irvine Valley goes on the road and sweeps Antelope Valley, 25-18, 25-9, 25-18 on Friday night a non-conference contest. The Lasers were led by outside hitter Tucker Mclain, who finished with 11 kills and hit an impressive .786.
  • Men's volleyball team cruises past LA Pierce in season opener
    January 28, 2025
    Irvine Valley sweeps Los Angeles Pierce in its 2025 opening match, 25-17, 25-18, 25-13, Wednesday at home. IVC hits .508 for the contest and gets contributions all around. The Lasers next play at Antelope Valley Friday at 6 p.m.
