Former Irvine Valley standout men's basketball player David Ogunlade was a big part of the rotation at NAIA Hastings College in Nebraska this past season.
He played in 25 games and started 15 for the Broncos.
Ogunlade averaged 3.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game and was stellar as a lead defensive guard as he was for two years at IVC.
He scored a season-high 14 points against Northwestern on Jan. 2 and scored in double figures in four games.
Ogunlade was named Irvine Valley's most improved player of the year after the 2023-24 season.
He helped the Lasers to a 17-12 overall record, 8-8 mark in the conference for third place and a trip to the So. Cal. Regional Playoffs.
After being one of the top reserves during the 2022-23 season, Ogunlade was a leader and standout player on both ends of the court for IVC in 2023-24.
The 6-1 Ogunlade was the best perimeter defender for the Lasers.
The former King's Christian High out of Maryland player competed in 29 games in 2023-24 for Irvine Valley and averaged 5.8 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game.
