Irvine Valley's men's basketball team, looking to get back into the win column, takes on No. 11 in the state Fullerton at home on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
The Lasers are coming off a 60-54 Orange Empire Conference loss to Saddleback last Friday at home.
Irvine Valley's record went to 11-9 overall and 3-4 in the OEC.
Fullerton enters with a record of 17-2 overall and 6-1 in conference play.
The Hornets, ranked No. 11 in the state, defeated No. 19 Cypress, 62-47, last Friday night on the road.
The win kept Fullerton tied with Santiago Canyon for first in the OEC.
Joe Grahovac led the way with 13 points, five rebounds and four assists, while Brayden Smith followed up with 10 points and three rebounds.
Jaqari Miles scored nine points and JQ Strong delivered eight points, five rebounds, two assists and blocks.
On the season, Grahovac averages 15.8 points and 6.0 rebounds, Miles is averaging 14.2 points, Addy G'Bye averages 11.9 points and 4.1 rebounds and Christian Watson is averaging 11.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 5.7 assists per game for the Hornets.
In Irvine Valley's defeat to Saddleback, the game was tied, 46-46, midway through the second half, but the Bobcats went up, 53-48, with 4:27 to play and never looked back.
IVC was led by sophomore guard Ammon Allan with 12 points, five rebounds and two blocks, and freshman forward Matt Mowers with 10 points, four rebounds and three assists.
On the year, Mowers is averaging 12.7 points and 5.5 rebounds, freshman wing Yanis Aldeguer averages 10.2 points, Allan averages 9.2 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists, freshman point guard Allen Moser is averaging 7.9 points and 3.3 assists and sophomore forward Josiah Reed averages 7.4 points and 5.7 rebounds per game for Irvine Valley.
IVC hosts Cypress on Friday in another conference game at 7 p.m.
