Irvine Valley's men's basketball team will host its first Orange Empire Conference game of the 2024-25 season on Wednesday night against Santiago Canyon at 6 p.m.

Santiago Canyon enters with a record of 13-3 overall and 3-0 in Orange Empire Conference play.
The Hawks, ranked No. 8 in the stated, have won five games in a row, including scoring an impressive 86-78 win over No. 2 Fullerton at home last Friday.
Tony Colley led five Hawks in double figures with 23 points. He added five rebounds. Colin Weems ended with 17 points and five rebounds, EJ Bryson had 13 points and five rebounds and Trevor Manning and Eli Arthurton each chipped in 12 points.
Collor McKee finished with 10 assists and nine rebounds for Santiago Canyon.
Colley is averaging 17.0 points and 8.5 rebounds, Bryson averages 16.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists, Manning is averaging 13.2 points and Weems is averaging 13.1 points for the Hawks on the season.
McKee averages a team-high 6.6 rebounds per game.
Irvine Valley goes into the game with a mark of 8-8 overall and 0-3 in the OEC.
The Lasers fell at Santa Ana, 68-58, last Friday.
IVC was tied with the Dons, 29-29, with 1:24 left in the first half, but Santa Ana scored the final seven points of the half and never looked back.
Sophomore guard Ammon Allan led IVC with 15 points and three assists.
Freshman guard Allen Moser had 12 points and four assists, freshman wing Yanis Aldeguer had 11 points, five rebounds and freshman forward Matt Mowers finished with 11 points and six rebounds.
On the year, Mowers is averaging 12.0 points and 5.8 rebounds, Aldeguer averages 9.9 points Allan averages 9.0 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists, Moser is averaging 6.8 points and 3.0 assists and sophomore forward Josiah Reed averages 6.8 points and 6.1 rebounds per game for Irvine Valley.
IVC is back in action on on Friday in a conference game at Riverside at 7 p.m.
