Four men's basketball players named to all-conference teams

The Irvine Valley men's basketball team had four players named all-Orange Empire Conference recently.

Freshman post player Matt Mowers was named to the first team, sophomore forward Josiah Reed and freshman guard Allen Moser were picked second team and sophomore guard Ammon Allan was an honorable mention selection.

Mowers avered 13.3 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.

He scored in double figures in 25 games with a season high of 27 points at a 92-55 win at Riverside on Jan. 10.

Reed averaged 8.2 points and 5.4 rebounds a game.

Moser averaged 9.4 points and 2.8 assists per game and Allan averaged 9.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2,7 assists a game for the Lasers.

Irvine Valley ended the season with a record of 17-14 overall and made the So. Cal. regional playoffs under first-year head coach Jason Garey.
