Irvine Valley's baseball team has moved its Orange Empire Conference scheduled game on Tuesday (Mar. 11) to Monday (Mar. 10) at 2 p.m. due to incoming rain and weather conditions.
The Lasers have a record of 12-8 overall and are 0-3 in the Orange Empire Conference.
IVC started conference with a tough series against Golden West.
The Lasers dropped the opening game on Tuesday on the road, 5-0.
Freshman third baseman Josh Gutierrez had two hits for IVC in the contest.
Irvine Valley fell, 10-1, to the Rustlers on Friday at home.
First baseman Jackson Snitko went 1 for 2 with a sacrifice fly and one RBI and on Friday at home.
The Lasers lost, 12-5, on the road at GWC.
Freshman shortstop Jake Amundson hit a three-run home run in the game. The homer in the top of the second gave IVC a 5-4 lead.
But the Rustlers tied the game in the bottom of the frame and then scored three runs in the third to take control.
Amundson went 1 for 3 with a run scored, two walks and three RBI.
IVC freshman right fielder Brandon Abernathy added two hits and Snitko and freshman center fielder Sam Tucci each drove in a run for the Lasers.
On the year, Amundson is batting .381 with 32 hits, 10 extra base hits, 23 RBI and eight stolen bases. Amundson ranks fifth in the conference in RBI.
Snitko is hitting .306 with 17 RBI, 28 walks and a .511 on base percentage.
Santa Ana comes in to Monday's game with a record of 3-0 in conference after sweeping Orange Coast last week.
The Dons, who defeated the Pirates, 17-6, on Saturday in the final game of the series, have a mark of 12-6 on the season.
Ken Tomikata is hitting .424 on the year, which ranks sixth in the OEC, and Connor Dietsch is batting .377 with 17 runs scored and 17 RBI for Santa Ana.
