Baseball team starts 2025 season against LBCC at home today

The Irvine Valley baseball team opens its 2025 season at home on Friday afternoon against Long Beach City at 1 p.m.

The Lasers were competitive all of last season and finished with a record of 14-26 overall.

They have serveral top returners, including starting sophomore pitcher Zack Marker, sophomore catcher Aaron Serrato, sophomore infielder Chase Quezada, sophomore infielder Shaun McCaghren and sophomore outfielder Kade Murray.

Lots of promising freshman players are also in the mix.

Irvine Valley then plays at Long Beach City at noon on Saturday.

And the Lasers will hit the road next week at West LA on Jan. 28, at Compton on Jan. 29 and at Ventura on Jan. 31.
