    Irvine Valley battles, but falls to Cypress, 8-5, in an Orange Empire Conference series at home on Tuesday afternoon. The Lasers play at Cypress on Thursday at 2 p.m. and then host the Chargers on Saturday at noon.

    Irvine Valley fell, 6-0, 11-4, and, 4-1, in Orange Empire Conference games to Saddleback this past week. Irvine Valley's record went to 13-15 overall and 0-9 in conference play. IVC plays again on Tuesday, hosting Cypress at 2 p.m.

    Irvine Valley fell at LA Harbor, 6-5, in the bottom of the ninth inning Tuesday, but responds Wednesday at home with a 4-2 win over the Seahawks. AJ Roettger went seven strong innings and Jackson Chastain closed things out.

    Irvine Valley made a comeback in the final innings, but lost an Orange Empire Conference game to Santa Ana, 9-6, at home Monday. The game was moved because of incoming rain. The rest of the series will be announced soon.

    Irvine Valley takes the first game of a doubleheader, 8-2, over LA Mission and then closes by holding on with a 7-6 victory in the second game. The Lasers move their record to 12-5 overall heading into the start of conference play.

    Irvine Valley bounces back from a loss at LA Valley on Tuesday with a solid win Thursday at home. The Lasers get a super solid effort on the mound from sophomore righty AJ Roettger in the victory. It is VC's 10th win of the year.

    Irvine Valley beats a tough San Diego Mesa team on Thursday, 13-8, and then is defeated by the Olympians, 9-3, on Saturday at home. IVC's record goes to 9-4 overall. The Lasers play next at LA Valley on Tuesday at 1 p.m.

    Irvine Valley scores four runs in the seventh inning and three more in the eighth to beat Grossmont, 13-8, Tuesday at home. It was a battle all day long between two of the squads with the best records in Southern California.

    Irvine Valley sophomore pitcher Jackson Chastain throws 6.2 scoreless innings to lead the Lasers to a 3-1 win over West LA at home Saturday. IVC improves its record to 7-3 and will be ready for a game against Grossmont Tuesday.

    In a battle between two of the top teams in Southern California in the early part of the 2025 season, Grossmont scores two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to beat Irvine Valley, 6-5, at Grossmont on Tuesday afternoon.

    Irvine Valley drops the first game, 18-3, but bounces back and defeats Cerro Coso, 10-4, in the second game on Saturday. Sophomore Tyler Eastham picks up the win, throwing 4.2 innings and striking out three in the second game.

    Irvine Valley stays hot offensively, scoring seven runs in the first inning to defeat Ventura, 10-4, at home Tuesday. It was IVC's second straight win over the Pirates. The Lasers are at Cerro Coso for two games later this week.

    Irvine Valley keeps hitting and earns 14-8 victory at Ventura on Friday. It was the fourth consecutive win for the IVC, which improved its record to 4-1. Jake Amundson, Shaun McCaghren and Aaron Serrato each had two hits.

    In a tough, scrappy game throughout, Irvine Valley scores three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to take the lead for good and goes on to a 4-2 win over Compton at home Wednesday. IVC gets strong pitching all afternoon.

    Irvine Valley goes on the road Tuesday afternoon and beats West LA, 13-2. The Lasers finish with 10 hits and 12 walks and get a strong start from sophomore right-hander AJ Roettger in the win. IVC is at Compton on Wednesday.

    Irvine Valley rebounds from a loss to Long Beach City in its home opener Friday with a dominating performance at LBCC in a 10-2 win Saturday afternoon, IVC racks up 17 hits and get a strong start from sophomore Tyler Eastham.

    Irvine Valley starts its 2025 season on Friday at home at 1 p.m. against Long Beach City. The Lasers then play at Long Beach on Saturday at noon. IVC has several solid returners and promising newcomers for the campaign.

    January 24, 2025
    Irvine Valley battles all the way, but falls to Long Beach City, 4-2, in its 2025 season opener on Friday afternoon at home. The Lasers finished with 12 hits. Long Beach ended with 15 hits. Jake Amundson had three knocks to pace IVC.
