Irvine Valley's men's soccer team finished its 2024 season last week.
The Lasers ended with a record of 8-12-1 overall and 6-7-1 in the Orange Empire Conference.
"The guys gave all they had all year," Irvine Valley coach Conor Ward said.
And they were right there. IVC dropped nine matches by one goal.
Irvine Valley players were still rewarded this week with four all-conference selections.
Freshman midfielder Luke Newman and sophomore midfielder Isaiah Ponce were each named first team all-OEC.
And freshman forward Mason Tracey and freshman midfielder Cristian Sanchez were selected to the second team.
Newman was Irvine Valley's star this season. He ended the year first in the conference in assists with nine and third in points with 25.
Newman also scored eight goals, including four game-winning goals.
Ponce was one of Irvine Valley's most steady players all year on both ends of the field. The holding midfielder started 16 games for the Lasers.
Tracey had an impressive debut for IVC this fall. He started 17 contests and finished with four goals and five assists for 13 points.
Tracey ranked fourth in the conference in assists.
And Sanchez was another solid player for the Lasers. He started 13 games and ended with two goals and one assist for five points.
