Men's soccer player Jonas Foppen committed to Benedictine Mesa
March 09, 2025Irvine Valley men's soccer two-year player Jonas Foppen has committed to NCAA Division II Benedictine Mesa in Arizona. Foppen, from the Netherlands, has played in 24 matches over the last two season for the Lasers.

Men's soccer player Jamie Eijpenn off to Whittier College
March 06, 2025Irvine Valley two-year player Jamie Eijpenn is headed to NCAA Division III Whittier College next fall. The sophomore defender played in 32 matches for the Lasers in the 2023 and 2024 seasons, starting in 17 total matches.

Men's soccer player Marcio Costa headed to D2 Eckerd College
February 25, 2025Irvine Valley sophomore men's soccer player Marcio Costa has committed to NCAA Division II Eckerd College in West Palm Beach, Fla. Costa finished with eight goals and two assists for 18 points with the Lasers this past season.

IVC star soccer player Luke Newman is off to Pennsylvania
February 24, 2025Freshman Irvine Valley men's soccer player, who was named first team all-Orange Empire Conference this past year, has signed with national NCAA Division II power West Chester in Pennsylvania. He had 27 points on the year.

Men's soccer player Logen Coffin is off to Cal Poly Humboldt
January 05, 2025Another Irvine Valley soccer player commits to a four-year school. Logen Coffin is off to NCAA D2 Cal Poly Humboldt. Coffen, out of Chino Hills High, played in 34 matches and started 16 for the Lasers the last two years.

December 23, 2024Freshman standout Irvine Valley soccer player Mason Tracey is headed to NCAA Division II Oklahoma Christian. Tracey was named second team all-Orange Empire Conference after finishing with 13 points for the Lasers.

December 16, 2024Irvine Valley held its end of the 2024 season banquet last week. The Lasers celebrated all of the players on the squad and honored all-OEC players Luke Newman, Mason Tracey, Isaiah Ponce and Cristian Sanchez.

October 01, 2024Irvine Valley dropped a tough, 2-1, match to district rival Saddleback on Tuesday at home. Saddleback scored the first two goals and IVC rallied late with a goal by Yahya Alsadeq, but it wasn't enough. IVC plays at Santa Ana Friday.

September 11, 2024Irvine Valley scored a goal in the second half and downed Rio Hondo, 3-2, in a nonconference match on Tuesday at home. Luke Newman scored the game-winning goal for the Lasers in the 57th minute. IVC moved its record to 2-3.

August 28, 2024Irvine Valley scored the first two goals of the game and led, 3-1, at the half over the defending state champion, but El Camino scored the final three goals to win, 6-4. IVC was led by Luke Newman with two goals and one assist.
