Men's basketball player Luc Krystkowiak is headed to Arizona

Irvine Valley sophomore men's basketball player Luc Krystkowiak is moving on to NCAA Division I University of Arizona.

He will be a preferred walk-on for the Wildcats.

Krystkowiak, a former University of Utah player, was named first team all-Orange Empire Conference for the Lasers this past season.

He helped IVC make the California Community College Athletic Association So. Cal. Regional Playoffs and finish with a record of 18-11 overall.

Krystkowiak led the Irvine Valley team in points, rebounds and assists per game.

He averaged 14.8 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.6 steals per game, scored in double figures in 21 games and scored 20 points or more in five contests.

Krystkowiak had a season-high 25 points in a conference game at Saddleback on Feb. 15 and finished with a season-high 15 rebounds in two contests - vs. Mt. San Antonio on Dec. 10, 2021 and vs. Riverside on Dec. 21, 2021.

Arizona had a record of 33-4 overall this past season and went 18-2 in conference. The Wildcats lost to the University of Houston in the NCAA Tournament in the round of 16.
