The Irvine Valley men's soccer team captured its second straight victory and did it with a rally.
The Lasers gave up a goal in the first minute, but came back to beat Rio Hondo, 2-1, Tuesday night in a match at Rio Hondo.
The win improved Irvine Valley's record to 3-2-0 overall on the year.
Chris Alvarado scored for the Roadrunners in the opening minute and Irvine Valley had to grind to get back in the contest.
But the Lasers answered to tie the score in the 18th minute on a goal by sophomore forward Ivan Lopez off an assist by sophomore midfielder Anthony Ocampo.
The game stayed tied through halftime and then most of the second half until IVC found the game-winner.
In the 88th minute, sophomore forward Christoper Camarena scored offf a pass from freshman midfielder Yasser Mallisho.
Irvine Valley freshman Josh Simonton earned the win. He finished with three saves.
The Lasers play again on Friday, hosting San Diego Mesa at 2 p.m.
