Irvine Valley's women's volleyball team scored wins on the first through the fourth courts and defeated Riverside, 4-1, in an Orange Empire Conference match Friday at home.
The Lasers improved their record to 8-4 overall and 7-0 in conference play.
IVC, in a rare single match, received wins from its pairs of sophomores Tessa Marocco and Kenzie Dews, sophomore Natalia Brandlin and freshman Audrey Fowler, freshman Avery Bennett and sophomore Mia Bertolone and freshman Halen Kiefer and sophomore Felicia Bonus.
Marocco and Dews won, 21-13, 21-14, Brandlin and Fowler came out on top, 21-8, 21-8, Bennett and Bertolone won, 21-1, 21-18, and Keifer and Bonus pulled out a victory in three sets, 21-11, 17-21, 15-11.
Irvine Valley plays again on Friday, hosting Fullerton at 10 a.m. and Orange Coast at noon in conference matches.
