The 2025 Irvine Valley women's soccer team's schedule is set

The Irvine Valley women's soccer team, coming off of a solid 2024 campaign, has released its 2025 fall schedule.

Irvine Valley, which finished with a record of 10-10-1 overall and 5-8-1 in the Orange Empire Conference and moved that much closer to making the playoffs, opens its 2025 year with a scrimmage against Westcliff University at home on Aug. 15 at 3 p.m.

The Lasers will officially start its regular season with a road game at Cuyamaca in San Diego on Aug. 22 at 3 p.m.

Irvine Valley's home games during the pre-conference schedule are against Grossmont on Aug. 29 and East Los Angeles on Sept. 26.

The Lasers open OEC play on Sept. 30 at Orange Coast at 3 p.m.

IVC has its first conference home match on Friday, Oct. 3 at 3 p.m.

And Irvine Valley finishes the reguar season with an OEC contest against Golden West at home at 3 p.m.

in 2024, IVC had four players named all-conference and coach Tom Lancaster gave out individual awards to five Laser players.

The OEC honorees were sophomore forward Jordan Madison and sophomore defender Faith Hong as first team.

And sophomore midfielder Jocelyn Quinonez and sophomore goalie Sydnee Salamoff were each picked to the second team.

The players along with several other standouts helped IVC to one of its better seasons in recent years.

Madison led Irvine Valley with 12 goals and 18 points. She had two games where she scored two goals in each.

Madison scored six game-winning goals and also added four assists.

Hong was steady as a defender, helping IVC give up just 16 goals on the season and shutting out 10 opponents.

Lancaster also awarded Quinonez as the team's player of the year, Madison as the most valuable player and freshman Ashley Reina for the coaches award.

He also honored the attacking player of the year to sophomore Kuuipo Laumatia.

The defensive player of the year went to freshman Lilliana Springer and the most improved player of the year was freshman midfielder Yihan Shu.
