Women's soccer allows two second-half goals, falls at OCC

Irvine Valley's women's soccer team dropped its second match of the week Friday with a 3-0 Orange Empire Conference loss at Orange Coast.

The defeat dropped Irvine Valley's record to 7-6 overall and 2-4 in conference.

Orange Coast improved its record to 6-5-2 overall and 4-2 in conference.

The Pirates got on the board in the 18th minute on a goal by Stephanie Serrato.

The score remained that way for the rest of the half.

But Orange Coast scored two goals in the second half to put the contest away.

Litzy Morales found the back of the net in the 61st minute and then Grace Graham hooked in a corner kick in the 65th minute to cap the scoring.

Sophomore midfielder Jordan Madison led IVC with three shots and sophomore goalie Sydney Salamoff made six saves in the game.

Irvine Valley plays again next Tuesday in an Orange Empire Conference match at Golden West at 3 p.m.
