Former Irvine Valley player Ashley Arribas stands out at MVC

Former Irvine Valley women's standout soccer player Ashley Arribas wrapped up her senior season at NAIA Missouri Valley College on a high note.

Arribas was named the Heart Women's Soccer Player of the Week, presented by WinWon in October.

Arribas also led the team in two victories to close the regular season, scoring a pair of goals, including the game-winner, to top Baker (Kan.) 3-0, and followed with one goal in a 3-1 victory at Graceland (Iowa).

It was the first weekly Heart award this season for Arribas, and the second of her career. 

Arribas led the team with 12 goals and 27 total points, to go with three assists on the season. 

Over her three years at Missouri Valley State, Arribas finished with 45 goals, 11 assists and 101 points. She had 17 game-winning goals.

Missouri Valley College finshed its 2024 season ranked in the top 15 of the postseason edition NAIA Women's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Poll.

The Vikings made their fourth-straight NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship appearance.

The team finished with a record of 15-4-3 overall.
