The 2025-26 women's basketball schedule has been released

The Irvine Valley women's basketball schedule has been released for the 2025-26 season.

Irvine Valley had a solid 2024-25 season with a record of 16-14 overall and 7-5 in the Orange Empire Conference. The team reached the second round of the So. Cal. regional playoffs under first-year head coach Claire Gocke.

IVC finished ranked No. 22 in the state in the final California Community College Women's Basketball Coaches Association poll.

Irvine Valley had an RPI of No. 20 in the state and scored wins over San Diego Mesa Cypress, Santa Ana and Fullerton.

The Orange Empire Conference placed five teams on the final Top 25.

The Lasers start the season with a game at Palomar on Saturday Nov. 1 at 5 p.m.

IVC has its first home game of the season against El Camino on Wednesday, Nov. 19 as part of the El Camino crossover.

Irvine Valley starts conference play on Wednesday, Jan. 7 against Cypress at 7 p.m.

Irvine Valley's top returners include sophomore wing Symantha Barnett, who was named honorable mention all-conference last season.

She started in all 30 games for the Lasers and averaged 11.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game.

Barnett scored in double figures in 17 games with a season-high 27 points against Saddleback at home on Feb. 13 in a 72-44 win for the Lasers.

She also grabbed 12 rebounds against El Camino in a 66-32 win at home last November.

Other star returners include Alexis Price, Neryah Lokeni and Kiovanni Williams.
