Alumni Report: Max Kleinhammes named all-Academic at SLO

Former Irvine Valley men's soccer player Max Kleinhammes started 16 matches, scored three goals and was also a star off the field at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

He earned Big West Conference Fall All-Academic Team praise.
 
In order to qualify for selection, student-athletes (excluding true freshmen and first-year transfers) had to maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA through the the academic term, while also competing in at least 50 percent of their program's competitions.

Kleinhammes, who was studying Business Administration, also played in 16 matches and scored three goals for the Mustangs.

In 2021 at San Luis Obispo, Kleinhammes appeared in 16 of 17 matches with five starts.

As a freshman at Irvine Valley during the 2019 season, he started in all 23 matches and finished second in the lineup with 11 goals and was named first team all-Orange Empire Conference.

Kleinhammes was a former JSerra High player and was a four-year letterwinner.
