Baseball player Brad Wilkison signs with Ottawa University

Irvine Valley freshman baseball player Bradley Wilkison has signed with NAIA Ottawa University in Arizona.

Ottawa is part of the Golden State Athletic Conference and had an overall record of 21-29 overall last year and 12-19 in conference.

Wilkison has been with the IVC program since 2020 and was a consistent starter in the outfield for the Lasers.

He played in 17 games and had a batting average of .286 with 14 runs scored, two doubles, five RBI and eight stolen bases in 2020 before the year was shut down due to the pandemic.

The former El Toro High standout, hit .271 in a shortened Orange Empire Conference 2021 season, and finished with 14 runs scored, nine RBI and five stolen bases. He had a .419 on base percentage.

This past season, Wilkison, who primarily played right field, led the Orange Empire Conference with 25 stolen bases. And he had a career-high four stolen bases in a game at Cypress on Apr. 2, 2021.

Wilkison helped IVC to a record of 12-14-2 in 2021 and 17-23 overall in the 2022 campaign.
