The win was Irvine Valley's final game of the regular season and a big one.

One free throw by Braden Keenan, an IVC turnover and then a layup by James tied the game at 46-46 with 2:20 to play.

As was the case all night, points were hard to come by in the final two minutes.

Irvine Valley committed a turnover and missed two shots and Riverside missed three shots before Hunter was fouled by RCC's Joseph with 7.4 seconds remaining.

He went to the line and sank both free throws.

After the timeouts, Riverside got the ball in the hands of Joseph. Two IVC defenders collapsed on him in the corner and he couldn't get a shot off before losing the ball as time expired.
