Irvine Valley freshman reliever Noah Bradford added to his list of accomplishments this week.
Three days after being named to the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association 2018 All-Southern California Team as a pitcher, Bradford was selected to a American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings All-Region Team.
The right-hander earned Pacific Association Southern California All-Region Second Team honors.
He was one of 26 players from Southern California selected to either the first or second team. And Braford joined seven other Orange Empire Conference players to make the first or second team.
He was picked as the lone relief pitcher on the second team.
Bradford, a 6-2 righty, led IVC in wins and saves.
He made 24 appearances and had a record of 7-3 overall with two saves. He threw 45.1 innings and had a 2.78 ERA with 32 strikeouts this past season.
Bradford, out of Mission Viejo High, went 5-2 with one save in 26.2 innings in the always tough Orange Empire Conference.
Bradford was also named first team all-OEC.
He threw 4.2 scoreless innings with four strikeouts in picking up a victory in Irvine Valley's 9-8 win at state-ranked Saddleback on Mar. 8 in one of his best performances of the season.
Irvine Valley ended up with a record of 18-22 overall this season and was 8-13 in conference.
The 2018 ABCA/Rawlings Pacific Association Division All-Region teams have been announced in all three regions. The selection process is led by the ABCA Pacific Association Division All-America Committee, which is chaired by Paul Moore of the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association.
The Pacific Association Division is comprised of junior colleges from the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) and the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC).
The ABCA All-America team was first recognized in 1949 and now includes nine divisions: NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA, NJCAA Divisions I, II and III, Pacific Association Division, and high school. ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove teams were first recognized in 2007.
The ABCA, founded in 1945, is the primary professional organization for baseball coaches at the amateur level. Its more than 9,600 members represent all 50 states and 25 countries. Since its initial meeting of 27 college baseball coaches in June 1945, Association membership has broadened to include eight divisions: NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA, NJCAA, Pacific Association Division, High School and Youth.
