Irvine Valley's men's tennis team ended its regular season with a 9-0 shutuout win over Saddleback at home in an Orange Empire Conference match on Tuesday.
The Lasers upended the Bobcats for the second time this season.
Irvine Valley improved its record to 9-2 overall and 6-2 in conference.
IVC, ranked No. 5 in the state, will finish second in the OEC this season.
But the Lasers had good news with its top two players being back in the lineup on Tuesday.
Irvine Valley had sophomores Nick Grove and Luciano Pardo back on track.
Grove and Pardo won the 3C2A doubles state title in 2024.
Grove and Pardo then started the day on Tuesday with a 8-2 win in the first doubles slot.
Sophomore Luis Moros and freshman Nevin McCann won, 8-2, at No. 2 doubles and freshman Jonathan Hinkel and sophomore Nicholas Villar cruised to a 8-0 victory on the third court.
In singles, Grove, sophomore Sufyan Ashraf, freshman Lucas Diaz, McCann, freshman Bradley Yung, and freshman Kei Ohya all won in straight sets.
Grove won, 6-1, 6-0, Diaz won, 6-0, 6-0, and Yung was a 6-1, 6-0 winner to highight singles action.
The Lasers play again in the Orange Empire Conference tournament starting on Thursday at Orange Coast.
