Irvine Valley's men's tennis team took care of business in a quick 9-0 win contest against Orange Coast in an Orange Empire Conference match Tuesday at home.
The Lasers dropped just just seven games total in three doubles matches and then 13 games in singles on the day.
Irvine Valley improved its record to 5-1 overall.
IVC's next match against Saddleback on Thursday at home has been rescheduled to Apr. 1 due incoming rainy weather.
The Lasers will play again next Tuesday in one of their most important matches of the season when they host Riverside at 2 p.m.
The contest will have conference title implications as well as where teams are seeded in the playoffs.
Riverside knocked off IVC, 5-4, last month in conference play.
Ventura, Riverside and Irvine Valley are expected to be the top three teams in Southern California heading into the playoffs.
Irvine Valley swept the doubles portion of the match on Tuesday with the No. 1 team of freshman Nevin McCann and sophomore Luis Moros winning, 8-0, the No. 2 squad of sophomore Nicholas Villar and freshman Jonathan Hinkel coming out on top, 8-5, and the No. 3 duo of freshmen Bradey Young and Sam Shakiba winning, 8-2.
In singles action, IVC had all six players earn straight-set victories.
Sophomore Sufyan Ashraf, Morors, sophomore Lucas Diaz, McCann, Hinkel and freshman Kei Ohya each swept in singles.
Ashraf won 6-2, 6-1, at No. 1 singles and Moros earned a 6-1, 6-0 victory on the second court.
