Irvine Valley's men's tennis team goes on the road and defeats Orange Coast, 8-1, in an Orange Empire Conference match on Tuesday.

Irvine Valley hosts rival Riverside on Thursday at 2 p.m. The two are in a race for the conference title and seeding for the playoffs.
Riverside knocked off the Lasers, 5-4, on Feb. 20 with the Tigers winning all three doubles sets to start.
On Tuesday at Orange Coast, Irvine Valley's doubles teams set the stage for the match.
IVC's No. 1 team of sophomore Luis Moros and freshman Nevin McCann, freshman Jonathan Hinkel and sophomore Nicholas Villar and freshman Bradley Yung and sophomore Lucas Diaz each won easily.
Moros and McCann cruised, 8-0, and Hinkel and Villar and Yung and Diaz each came out on top, 8-1.
In singles, Irvine Valley earned wins on the second through the sixth courts.
Highlights included Moros winning, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 2 singles, Villar scoring a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 5 and Hinkle coming out on top, 6-0, 6-2, on the sixth court.
