Irvine Valley's women's soccer team got back in the win column Tuesday afternoon with a 2-0 road win at Fullerton.

Sophomore star forward Kuuipo Laumatia scored her team and conference leading 15th and 16th goals of the season in the win.

She now has 16 goals and five asssists for 37 points as Irvine Valley improved its record to 10-9-1 overall and 4-8-1 in conference.

IVC is still in the fight for a playoff berth.

Laumatia got the Lasers ahead in just the second minute when she scored off of a cross from fellow sophomore forward Nikki MacDonald.

It was back and forth after that until Laumatia finished a penalty kick five minutes into the second half.

Freshman Jules Degroen played in goal and made three saves for the Lasers.

Irvine Valley plays its final match of the regular season on Friday against Golden West at noon at Orange Coast because of the incoming rain storms and being able to use an artificial turf field.
