The Irvine Valley women's beach volleyball team wrapped up a busy week with two matches on Saturday at IVC.
The day, hosted by Concordia University, featured matches between Concordia, Irvine Valley, El Camino and MiraCosta.
Irvine Valley took on El Camino in the morning and then Concordia in the afternoon.
IVC fell to El Camino, 4-1, and then Concordia, 5-0.
In the opening match, Irvine Valley's top team of sophomores Audrey Fowler and Avery Bennett came out on top, 21-18, 21-11, over El Camino's Aiereon Scott and Tate Mercer.
Irvine Valley's pairs of freshmen Maia Garcia and Jheazrell May Quindoza and Valeria Leon and Jessica Lopez played well, but each pair lost in three sets.
Garcia and Quindoza fell, 15-11, in the third set and Leon and Lopez lost, 15-12, in the third set.
Irvine Valley has a record of 5-11 overall.
The Lasers play again next Friday at the Newland Street courts in Huntington Beach, taking on Orange Coast and Fullerton in Orange Empire Conference matches.
OCC is the host school.
