Men's golf team finishes sixth in latest conference match

Irvine Valley's men's golf team finished sixth of six teams at an Orange Empire Conference match hosted by Riverside on Monday.

IVC shot a team score of 415 at the par 72 Victoria Country Club in Riverside.

Riverside won the home match and picked up five victories with a score of 371.

Orange Coast and Saddleback tied for second at 382 with OCC earning the victory on a tiebreaker.

Cypress was fourth at 384 and Santiago Canyon came in fifth at 486.

Irvine Valley was paced by sophomore Joe Gordon's 4 over par 76.

It was the third time in his last four rounds that Gordon has scored in the 70's.

Sophomore Andrew Lichty came in at 81, sophomore Steven Zezima carded 82, freshman Bruce Miranda finished at 83 and freshman Albert Arvayo had a score of 93.

IVC plays again next Wednesday, hosting its home match in conference play at Oak Creek.
