Men's golf team takes 14th in state preview event

Irvine Valley's men's golf team finished 14th of 19 teams at the COD State Championships Preview Tournament on Monday at the Desert Island Country Club.
The Lasers finished with a score of 406 at the event, ending up ahead of Glendale, Victor Valley, Antelope Valley and Bakersfield.
IVC was paced by sophomores Joe Gordon and Andrew Lichty.  
Both had scores of 4 over par 76.
Reedley College won this tournament with a score of 367.
Gordon and Lichty both had two birdies, 11 pars, four bogeys and a double bogey for their scores of 76.
Sophomore Steven Zezima posted a score of 82.  He had one birdie, 10 pars, four bogeys and three double bogeys.
Freshman Kurt Hendricks ended with seven pars, nine bogeys and two double bogeys for 85.
Freshman Albert Arvayo had eigh pars, eight bogeys, one double bogey and one quadruple bogey for a score of 87.
And freshman Bruce Miranda had two birdies, eight pars, one bogey, five double bogeys and two triple bogeys for the team throw out score of 87.
