Four Irvine Valley sophomore women's soccer players were recently named to all-Orange Empire Conference teams for 2016.
Midfielder Virginia Hickman and defender Marissa Perez were selected first team all-conference and forward Crystal Lefebvre and defender Christina Anderson were picked to the second team.
Perez was named all-conference for the second year in a row. She was a second team selection as a freshman in 2015.
She was the anchor of the Irvine Valley defense this past season. Perez helped the Lasers record four shutouts this past year. She also contributed three assists on the offensive end.
Hickman has been a solid player in the middle of the field for IVC the past two seasons.
Lefebvre paced the Lasers in goals with six and in points with 13 this past year. She had a two-goal game in Irvine Valley's 3-0 win at Golden West. And over two years at IVC, Lefebvre finished with 14 goals.
Anderson contributed on both defense and offense for the Lasers. Primarily a defender, she also helped in the midfield at times.
Anderson had three goals and two assists for IVC in 2015 and six goals and three assists over two years.
Irvine Valley finished with a record of 6-12-2 this past season and was 4-10-2 in the Orange Empire Conference.
