Irvine Valley's women's golf team finished a solid fourth at the second Orange Empire Conference match of the season on Monday at El Prado in Chino.
The Lasers finished with a mark of 5-2 at the event and started to move up the conference standings.
Irvine Valley now has a record of 7-7 in conference and is in fifth place.
Palomar has a record of 14-0, Fullerton is in second at 10-4 and Saddleback and College of the Desert are tied for third at 9-5.
Irvine Valley shot a team score of 324 on Monday at El Prado.
Palomar with a score of 293 went undefeated at the event.
IVC finished just one stroke behind Fullerton, which grabbed second at 323.
Irvine Valley did beat Desert (331), Saddleback (332), Cuyamaca (348), Mt. San Jacinto (356) and Mt. San Antonio (no team score).
The Lasers were paced by freshman Leleaga Meredith, who tied for second on the day with a 1 under par 71.
Palomar sophomore Vanessa Honnes was the medalist at 70.
Meredith tied with Palomar's Sadye Busby for second at 71.
Meredith finished with four birdies, 11 pars and three bogeys on the course.
The second finisher for the Lasers was freshman Cindy Dang, who came in at 76.
She had two birdies, 11 pars, four bogeys and one double bogey.
Freshman Nayoung Kim had a score of 84 for IVC. She dropped 12 strokes from the team's first conference match.
Kim had one birdie, eight pars, six bogeys and three double bogeys.
Irvine Valley's fourth and final scorer was freshman Kimberly Richardson at 93.
The Lasers play again in another conference match on Wednesday at Diamond Bar Golf Club. The match is hosted by Fullerton.
