Irvine Valley's women's basketball team hosts Santa Ana Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in an Orange Empire Conference contest. It is part of a doubleheader with the IVC men's team. The Irvine Valley men take on Riverside at 5 p.m.
Santa Ana enters Wednesday night's game with a record of 13-9 overall and 3-5 in conference.
The Dons have lost two in a row in conference.
Santa Ana fell to Riverside at home, 65-61, last Friday.
Selena Hernandez finished with 22 points and five rebounds, Larissa Robles had 18 points and Dylyn Payne contributed nine points for the Dons.
On the season, Robles averages 19.0 points and 5.6 rebounds, Hernandez is averaging 13.8 points and 4.8 rebounds, Payne averages 13.8 points and 5.3 rebounds and Sarah Henry is averaging 7.8 points and 7.7 rebounds per contest.
Irvine Valley has a recoerd of 15-7 overall and 6-2 in OEC play.
Irvine Valley dropped its second game in conference on Friday at Orange Coast, falling, 63-53.
IVC received 14 points from freshman point guard Haruka Mikuma and 10 points from freshman guard Moka Saiki in the loss.
Sophomore guard Emily Freeman had eight points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals, sophomore forward Ella Will finished with eight points and sophomore center Makena Tomlinson had 13 rebounds.
On the season, Tomlinson is averaging 12.0 points and 9.9 rebounds per game. Christen Ziska averages 11.5 points and 4.8 rebounds, Saiki is averaging 11.5 points and 2.0 steals, Freeman is averaging 9.5 points per game and Mikuma averages 4.1 assists per game for the Lasers.
IVC plays in a conference game at Golden West on Friday.
