Irvine Valley's baseball roster is set for the 2021 season

The Irvine Valley baseball team played its second and final scrimmage on Tuesday at Mt. San Antonio College.

The Lasers are raring to go for the 2021 season after more than a year away from actual competition on the diamond.

IVC is now just a week away from opening a new season.

The Lasers play against Cypress at the OC Great Park Stadium on Tues., Apr. 13 at 6:30 p.m. in the opener.

Irvine Valley had a record of 11-10 overall in 2020 when the season was shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic after the team's home game against Orange Coast on Mar. 11, 2020. 

IVC lost a hard-fought game, 10-8, in 11 innings to the Pirates.

Irvine Valley had 18 regular seasons games cancelled in 2020.

They will play a 28-game schedule against OEC opponents and Mt. SAC this year. The full Irvrine Valley schedule can be seen here

The Lasers are led by several top returners, including sophomore outfielders Kyle Dobson, Dante Faicchio and Joey Lapolla and sophomore infielder Hank Schineller.

Fans will not be allowed inside the Great Park Stadium.
