Irvine Valley's women's beach volleyball team hosts a four-team event on Friday, Feb. 28 beginning at 9 a.m.
It is the second home date of the season for IVC.
The Lasers played well, but fell in both matches, 5-0, to four-year, NCAA Division 1 Pepperdine last Friday. Pepperdine was ranked No. 6 by the American Volleyball Coaches Association heading into the D1 season.
On Friday, Irvine Valley will welcome Division 1 schools Santa Clara and Cal State Bakersfield and D2 Concordia.
The event will start with Santa Clara taking on Concordia at 9 a.m.
Irvine Valley will play its first match against Cal State Bakersfield at 10 a.m.

11 a.m. – Santa Clara vs. Irvine Valley
12 p.m. – Cal State Bakersfield vs. Concordia
1 p.m. – Concordia vs. Irvine Valley
2 p.m. – Santa Clara vs. Cal State Bakersfield
