In leading up to the start of the each school year, the Laser athletic department counts down the top 10 Irvine Valley sports stories from the previous school year.
This countdown first appeared during the summer of 2014 and highlighted the many accomplishments both on and off the court of IVC teams, coaches and student-athletes.
The countdown begins in August and finishes up just before the start of fall sports action.
Irvine Valley's first official contests this 2024-25 sports season is with women's soccer when the Lasers host Pasadena City on Aug. 23 at 3 p.m. and the IVC women's volleyball team under the leadership of new head coach Alissa Blevins playing at Moorpark at 1 p.m.
With a lot of success by Irvine Valley teams year in and year out, the selections end up being difficult ones.
The top 10 list of stories will start on Friday, Aug. 16.
