Irvine Valley's baseball season ended last Friday, but Monday was a good day to celebrate a solid season for the Lasers and to hear about awards for some deserving players.
Irvine Valley finished with a record of 20-19-1 overall and 5-16 in the Orange Empire Conference.
Freshman left fielder Kyle Dobson was named first team all-conference after a stellar year.
Dobson led Irvine Valley with a .395 batting average, 62 hits, eight doubles and 38 RBI. Dobson also had a team-best .476 on base percentage.
Sophomore pitcher Justin Dunham and freshman first baseman Pu'ukani De Sa were each selected to the second team for Irvine Valley.
De Sa batted .342 with 26 RBI.
Dunham led the squad with a 2.08 ERA. He pitched 73.2 innings with 52 strikeouts and finished with a record of 5-5 overall with three complete games, including the first no-hitter in program history.
