All-conference volleyball player Grant Dvorak to Vanguard

Irvine Valley standout 6-6 setter and opposite Grant Dvorak has signed with Vanguard University to continue his athletic and academic career.

Dvorak was named first team all-Orange Empire Conference for the Lasers this past year.

He was one of five IVC players picked to all-conference teams.

IVC ended with a record of 11-8 overall and 5-3 for second place in the Orange Empire Conference and made the playoffs.

Dvorak averaged 2.03 kills, 5.29 assists and 1.03 digs per set.

He also hit an impressive .353 overall, which ranked second in the state.

Dvorak, out of Corona del Mar High, is headed to a Vanguard team competes in NCAA Division I in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation.

Vanguard had a record of 15-4 overall last season and competed in the NAIA National Tournament in Iowa.
