Irvine Valley standout sophomore outside hitter Zach McEntire has signed with NCAA Division I Concordia University in Irvine.
The 6-4 McEntire was named second team all-Orange Empire Conference this past season.
IVC ended the 2024 spring campaign with a record of 11-8 overall and went 5-3 for second place in the Orange Empire Conference.
McEntire averaged 1.98 kills and 1.28 digs per set and racked up 153.5 points over the season.
McEntire, who started 18 matches for the Lasers, had nine matches with at least eight kills and four contests with double-digit kills, including a season-high 13 kills in a sweep of Santiago Canyon on Apr. 3.
In that Apr. 3 match, McEntire also hit .345.
As a freshman in 2022-23, McEntire averaged 1.97 kills and 1.52 digs per set.
The Lasers finished a record of 16-3 overall, tied for the Orange Empire Conference title and reached the 3C2A State Playoffs.
