Irvine Valley's men's golf team finished third in its Orange Empire Conference match on Monday at Los Verdes Golf Course in Palos Verdes.
The match was hosted by El Camino.
Irvine Valley ended the day with a five-player score of 375.
The Lasers were six shots out of second place (Orange Coast) and 13 shots behind the winner (Cypress).
Irvine Valley ended up winning three of five matches.
The Lasers were led by freshman Connor O'Brien, who ended with a round of 72. He was just two shots behind the medalist – Luke Bartram of Cypress.
Sophomore Armand Flamer-Caldera came in at 74 for IVC and sophomore's Dustin Vasquez and Jackson Bragg each shot 76.
Sophomores Caleb Humble and Greg Williams each scored 77 for the Lasers.
Irvine Valley finished in front of Riverside (376), Saddleback (384) and El Camino (493) on the day.
IVC plays again next Monday in a conference match at Arroyo Trabuco hosted by Saddleback. Tee time is 12 p.m.
