Men's golf team takes fifth at Eagle Classic at Soboba Springs

Irvine Valley's golf team finished tied for fifth out of 16 teams at the Eagle Golf Classic at Soboba Springs on Wednesday.

The event featured many of the top squads in the state.

Cypress won with a team scoring of 367. Reedley took second at 375, Mt. SAC was third at 378 and College of the Desert came in fourth with a score of 379.

Irvine Valley tied with Mt. San Jacinto and Ventura for fifth at 382.

The Lasers had five players shoot in the 70's on the day.

Sophomore Caleb Humble led the way for IVC with a 74.

Freshman Connor O'Brien was next for the Lasers at 76. Sophomore Jackson Bragg carded 76, Sophomore Dustin Vasquez shot 77 and sophomore Greg Williams came in at 79.

Sophomore Armand Flamer-Caldera was right behind with an 80 for the Lasers.

A Cypress player was the medalist at 70.

Irvine Valley is back on the course at the Cuyamaca Classic at Sycuan Resort next Wednesday.
