Men's golf team puts up solid score at OEC Tee-Off Classic

Irvine Valley's men's golf team had another strong showing to begin its 2020 campaign.

The Lasers finished fourth out of 10 teams at the OEC Tee-Off Classic at Candlewood Country Club in Whittier with a team score of 387.

Cypress won the event with a score of 374.

Mt. San Antonio second at 384 and Riverside came in third at 385.

IVC finished in front of Palomar (390), Mt. San Jacinto (399), Saddleback (409), Cuyamaca (435), Victory Valley and El Camino.

Victor Valley and El Camino didn't record team scores because each had just four players.

For IVC, sophomore Caleb Humble led the way with a score of 73. He finished with the fifth-lowest score of the event.

Cypress' Bartram was the medalist on the day with a score of 69.

Sophomore Dustin Vasquez was next for the Lasers, finishing at 75.

Sophomore Greg Williams came in at 78, sophomore Armand Flamer-Caldera carded 80, sophomore Jackson Bragg scored 81 and sophomore Shayne Knight finished at 82 for the Lasers.

Irvine Valley is back in action on Wednesday, Feb. 12 at the Eagle Golf Classic at Soboba Springs.
