Irvine Valley's women's flag football team has shined in its first two scrimmages of the inauguaral 2025 season under head coach Sami Logan.
The Lasers traveled to the University of Redlands for a contest on Mar. 12 and then played at Norco College last week on Mar. 19.
But it starts officially for IVC on Wednesday at home when the Lasers play district rival Saddleback at 2 p.m.
"We've come out strong in our first scrimmages and are feeling really optimistic about the season," Logan said. "The players have been putting in the work, day in and day out, showing continuous improvement with each practice and competition."
Irvine Valley has five official home and away games and is also playing tournaments at Cal Lutheran University Mar. 28-29 and at Norco College on Friday, Apr. 11.

"The team chemistry is building, and we're working on fine-tuning the details to keep getting better," Logan added. "If we maintain this momentum, it is shaping up to be a very exciting season."
